Amoxicillin 500mg As Treatment for Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs which can affect people of all ages. The infection is generally caused by bacteria and germs like fungi, yeast, and protozoa. Among the common types of pneumonia are caused by the microorganisms belonging to the atypicals group. Pneumonia infection can be treatable with amoxicillin 500mg especially if you are a healthy person. However, for those who have low immunity system and are suffering terminal diseases such as HIV and cancer, pneumonia can be life-threatening and might be difficult to treat their infections with amoxicillin 500mg alone. People who are at an old age may also suffer serious types of pneumonia due to low immunity system. Aside from bacteria, some pneumonia can be caused by viruses. In this case, amoxicillin 500mg may not be the right option to cure the infection.

So how do you get a pneumonia infection? Some people may breathe in bacteria or viruses and affect the nearest organ they can thrive in. A small amount of such microorganisms may not immediately affect normal healthy people. The bacteria can be easily by your immunity system or become trapped by your sputum before they can even get into the lungs. But if they happen to get into your lungs, there they will grow and multiply. Healthy people can easily get recovery within a few days treatment with amoxicillin 500mg.
